About the role

You'll run the whole operation of a working ranch: planning grazing rotations, overseeing herd health, calving, and feed programs, maintaining fences, water systems, and equipment, and managing the seasonal rhythm of the cattle year. You'll hire and direct ranch hands, keep production and expense records, buy inputs, and market livestock. The role mixes long days of physical work with real business decisions about the herd and the land.

What you will bring

You have years of hands-on cattle and range experience and the judgment that comes with them: reading animal condition, weather, and grass. You're mechanically capable, good with a small crew, and comfortable being accountable for both livestock outcomes and a budget.
